Almost like an early 70's Raconteurs in composition, minus the recognition. Comprised of members from Vanilla Fudge, Amboy Dukes, and Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels, Cactus could have been considered a supergroup in their day. Covering Willie Dixon, Mose Allison, and Little Richard, the group made it known what sound they were trying to achieve...the only problem being a band by the name of Led Zeppelin was doing that very same thing. Timing is everything...right? Anyways we suggest listening to this down tempo rendition of Little Richard's Long Tall Sally and you can be the judge. Oh by the way, get the album on itunes.
